I traveled to Iceland with my friend, Lauren, in July of 2017. I discovered this canyon from a top ten list and it instantly became the #1 place I wanted to visit on our trip. Fjadrargljufur canyon is located in south east Iceland. It is up to 100 m deep and about 2 kilometers long, with the Fjadrargljufur river flowing through it. We hiked up the river until it became too deep and then climbed up the canyon wall for this breathe taking view.
